Alexis and the Lake Tahoe Tumult

In this delightful book a young pair of preteen girls are on a trip to Lake Tahoe but something is going on at the wild life preserve. Strange things keep happening. Have the caretakers of the preserve started to lose their touch after running it for so long? Will Alexis and the Camp Club Girls figure out the mystery and catch the villain? You will just have to read this one for yourself to find out!

Just recently I have started reading a few children's books and young adult books. I think this is a nice change from some of the books that I have been reading lately. It really puts other books into perspective when it comes to content and what can be accomplished without raunchy sex scenes and explicit language. I will continue to read the books that  I have already received from authors and publishers and publicity groups but I think I will have to make sure from this point forward that I have certain expectations met in a book before I request it or agree to review it.

Take this book for example. There is a good plot, there is a mystery, and there are interesting characters. Erica Rodgers does a fine job setting the scene and tone of this book right from the beginning. You even want to know how Alexis and her friends would handle things. They have a great track record for finding the culprit and each person in the group has a skill set that they all rely on to help save the day. Even as an adult you can appreciate this book. I appreciate NetGalley for the opportunity to let me review this book. I give this book 9 out of 10. It was really good. I liked it a lot. I may even see what other books Erica Rodgers has written in order to read other Alexis books.

You can find more about the author by clicking a few of the links below.
